《주피터 프로젝트 no.2》
'주피터 프로젝트’는 주한미군이 진행하는 ‘합동주한미군포털 및 통합위협인식(Joint USFK Portal and Integrated Threat Recognition)’ 프로그램의 머릿글자를 딴 말입니다. 공간 힘은 2021년 기획전시 《주피터 프로젝트》를 통해 지역을 터전으로 살아가는 기획자, 예술가들과 함께 미국과 한국의 관계를 둘러싼 다양한 문제와 현실을 민족적 문제계로서 조명하였습니다.
공간 힘은 작년의 《주피터 프로젝트》에 이어 《주피터 프로젝트 no.2》를 개최합니다. 이번 전시에서는 제국주의가 제기하는 쟁점을 한국의 경제적 발전과 관련된 계급적 사안으로 조명하는 동시에, 그것이 지리적 차원을 넘어 보편적으로 작동해온 양상까지를 비판적으로 살펴보고자 합니다.
Welcome to the last exhibition of the year at Space Heem, 《JUPITR Project no.2》. 'JUPITR is an acronym of the 'Joint USFK(United States Forces Korea) Portal and Integrated Threat Recognition' program conducted by USFK in preparation for biochemical warfare. In 《JUPITR Project》 (2021), Space Heem highlighted various issues and realities around the relationship between US and Korea as the problematic field of nation with curators and artists based in the region.
Space Heem presents 《JUPITR Project no.2》 from 6-23 December 2022. The exhibition sheds light on the issue raised by imperialism as a class ordeal related to Korea's economic development while critically examining its universal operation beyond the geographic dimension.
